Torisaun

"I desired to specifically focus on the shadow side of pregnancy and birth due to my own personal history. I experienced an ectopic pregnancy and felt lonely because no one mentions ectopic pregnancies, ever. I also dreamed of a water birth with my daughter and ended up having an emergency c-section. On top of being ripped from my desired birth experience, the hospital did not treat me fair at all and refused to even allow me to see my placenta. Grieving your birth experience is needed or it will get buried in your heart and womb, causing mental and physical health complications."

Torisaun Shi is a Womb Whisperer, Holistic Women's Wellness Practitioner, Nutritionist & herbalist for fertility to postpartum, spiritual midwife, death worker, licensed massage therapist, birth attendant and advocate for indigenous black wombs.

She received education and training from HPOC University, Lifestyle of Medicine College, Passionate Birthing Doula Training, PAIL, Indiana Wellness College, PSI International and ordained by God/spirit to be a womb healer.

She is the host for the nutritional, herbal and emotional womb healing classes. She is also the Ayurvedic postpartum doula and educator for recovering after childbirth. Torisaun does the perinatal mood disorder evaluations.

Shatee'ja

Hi Community,

My name is Shatee’Ja Harris, well known as Tee The Doula. A little about myself: I am a 26-year-old southern girl born and raised in the Carolinas. I enjoy catering to the community and giving back. In addition, I have always had the mothering/nurturing touch towards myself and all the beautiful souls I have encountered throughout my life. So, I started following my passion and catered my time to find out what route best suited me. In doing so, what solicited my answer was that I had the pleasure in 2016 to witness my nephew being born.

The whole experience was emotional, sacred, and heartwarming knowing an innocent baby was entering into this world. What I witnessed in the laboring room was support, advocacy, non-judgmental support, and a sacred environment to become vulnerable. Moving forward, in order for me to support all women emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically, I knew I needed to become a birth doula. So I proceeded in doing so by attending Mama's Glow program based out of NYC. My purpose in becoming a birthing doula is to spread my given gift of nurturing and supporting you and your family. An eye opener is knowing that our women/families do not always have that support that I expressed with my sister, and I, as your doula, will ensure that I cater to you the best way possible, as well as making sure I am a listening ear and cater to your needs always.

Overall, I tee the doula vow myself to you and your family, unwavering support and commitment to making your journey as seamless as possible.

Tatyanah

My name is Tatyanah. You may know me as Mama Odú or Odú. I am a wholistic wellness practitioner of many talents. Welcome to my business page of honoring and nurturing your birth rights back to your ancestral roots. For the past six years, I’ve been on my journey of following my calling/path. By honoring self, I was led to not only lead but to educate and guide those who are in need of some assistance for their journey back to self. In the midst of my calling.

2019, that year open the doors to nu beginnings for me. Becoming a reiki practitioner to learning about plant medicine. I deepen my practice with reiki in 2022, I became a Reiki Grandmaster 10°. In that same year I became a womb healer after becoming a mama of two.

2022 prepared me for the birth I desire with my second born. If I can go back in time, I would tell my younger self to stay strong and fight for the birth you desire for your first born. September 2022, was the day I experience my very first vaginal birth after cesarean! Not only was I able to push my beautiful daughter. Where I experienced postpartum hemorrhage. Even though I didn’t have the birth I desire, I advocated my birth rights in the hospital. Of course, the Doctors and RN’s were scared because I spoke up for myself and shown that their policies are not laws. Based on the mortality rate for POC and mainly new time mothers or mothers in general. Yes, I was my own doula with the support of my fellow doula sistar and doula sistar tribe.

In 2023, I’ve decided to deepen my knowledge and gifts with becoming a clinical herbalist and a spiritual life coach. So you can call me a wombyn of all trades but I just love what I do and am called to educate and create new healers in the community of wholistic health.
